“Be the change you want to see.”

But how exactly? How can we empower and prepare our youth with the tools they need to be agents for change?

Join us for our 2nd Hackathon, as we facilitate, lead, and mentor African American youth in the DMV to become empowered and emboldened agents for change. #UNHacktTheVote 2018, will be a 12-hour Hackathon where students are taught how to take an issue, understand the elements of that issue, build a case for or against that issue using open source software, code, and open data, and then pitch this agenda to the powers that be. Those can be their student body, their school board, or government officials on the hill. Sessions will be led by professionals in the field of policy, data visualization, programming, and pitch marketing. Come help empower and inspire our youth and learn a few tips yourself.

NO CODING NECESSARY!

* Event was postponed from July 21st to Sept 8th, 2018
